Medway United Nations Association or Medway-UNA is a grassroots local organisation accredited by UNA-UK.
Founded in 1945, United Nations Association – UK, or UNA-UK, is a charity that builds movements dedicated to promoting human rights, peace and security, and UN reform.
Our organization is committed to advocating for the principles and goals of the United Nations, fostering global cooperation, and raising awareness about international issues.

Medway United Nations Association (UNA) began with a special flag raising event on Tuesday 24th October 2023 at Medway Council to commemorate both United Nations Day and the launch of Medway's first UNA.
On that Tuesday we stated that 'Medway UNA Branch will locally support the principles and work of the United Nations and its agencies, amplifying national advocacy on UN issues at a local level and raise the profile of the UNA and its work in Medway.'
We were delighted that the local authority, Medway Council is supporting the work of the Medway branch of UNA-UK.
Members of the public were welcome to come along to both the ceremony and the later event which took place at Rochester Cathedral with evening prayers and the Cathedral spire lit up in UN colour blue.
